What to expect:

I always start the first lesson with an exam paper so that I can assess the level that the student is working at and use this to build on. It’s also helpful for students to bring along school work, past exam papers or mock exams as this helps the planning process.

From then on the lessons are tailored to the needs of the students and we can focus on key exam topics, areas of misunderstanding, the topics currently being covered at school to name a few. All lessons are fun and enjoyable and students always leave knowing more than they did when the lesson began. I focus a lot on confidence, as I truly believe that confidence is the key to improving in Maths at every level.

Home schooling lessons vary more as I follow a scheme of learning to ensure that every topic is covered, and it is structured in a similar manner to school lessons, with a starter, a plenary and sadly homework!

Prices:

Most lessons are an hour long whether they are face-to-face or online, they start at £25 for Key Stage Three, £30 for GCSE and £40 for A Level or equivalent.
